Nude Polish Women Party

For reasons not entirely clear to me, some women from the Polish Women’s Party posed nude to make a political statement:

Their message?

Wszystko dla przyszłości – nie zajmujemy się tym, co było, nie szukamy haków, teczek, układów.
To, czego pragniemy, to bezpieczna i przewidywalna przyszłość. Jesteśmy odważne, silne i niezależne. Nagie i prawdziwe.
Jesteśmy niewinne, uczciwe – mamy czyste ręce, czyste serca i czyste intencje. Nie wstydzimy się naszej kobiecości.
Ubrane czy nagie nie jesteśmy tylko obiektem seksualnym. Mamy twarze, oczy, myśli i przekonania, których potrafimy bronić.
Popatrzcie na nas i zapytajcie sami siebie, czy nam wierzycie, czy możecie nam zaufać?

InterTran provides this helpful translation:

I’m deodorizes silne as well detached. Nude as well regular. I’m niewinne uczciwe – we’ve clear days rce , clear days hearts as well clear days commissary. Not blushes si Anno Domini womanly. Ubrane whether nude not I’m only object sexual. We’ve faces , eyes , mistakes as well opinions , which potrafimy vindicates. Just fancy! to us as well zapytajcie bull yourselves , whether us creditor , whether moecie us credit?

Okay, it’s not so helpful.

Alex Massie provides this, which isn’t so much a translation as an explanation:

“We are beautiful, nude, proud. We are true and sincere, body and soul. This is not pornography, there is nothing to see in terms of sex, our faces are intelligent, concerned, proud. We do not have our mouths open nor our eyes closed… All that interests us is the future, the position of women in society. We will open the archives of the former secret communist agents, we will make known their corrupt affairs,” says party president Manuela Gretkowska.

I’m not sure that posing nude really furthers any of that. On the other hand, this is certainly more attention than I’ve paid the Polish Women’s Party in quite some time.
