TLC, The Learning Channel, is Illiterate

How ironic, that a network called The Learning Channel, would deploy grammatically incorrect pop-up graphics during their new series LA Ink.

The website, ifuckinghateyou.com emailed TLC to alert them of their illiterate ways and received this lame ass response:

quote3.jpg“Thank you for contacting TLC. We value your comments about our network and your desire to assist us in providing quality programming.

We received your comments about the LA Ink popup and have forwarded them to our programming department for their review. We always appreciate when viewers like you, take time to share information with us, and your suggestions will be given full consideration.”

Now if that wasn’t the most pathetic, canned answer ever. Not only did it not address the issue at hand, it was extremely patronizing.

To add insult to injury… they didn’t fix the issue and ran yet another graphic this week with the word “your“, when the grammatically correct “you’re” should have been used.

What Other’s Said:

  • Defamer adds, “Assuming that the e-mail actually reached someone in the programming department, a TLC staffer apparently furrowed a brow as he or she carefully considered the helpful correction, then finally determined that their only error was not adequately informing their audience that the show was a new hit series.”

Rest assured, we’ll all be watching to see what happens next week. James is going to love this story.

There’s an announcer for the network who tells us “you’re watching DLC.”

It’s clearly a “D,” not a “T.”

Perhaps the script read, “YOUR WATCHING DLC.”
