Dina Lohan was right when she spoke out against Jay Leno saying “addiction isn’t funny.” However, some things about Lindsay Lohan are.
There was a private premiere screening for the just released “I Know Who Killed Me”, but not all viewers understood the seriousness that the plot entailed.
“In the scene where Lindsay gets hit in the face with a shovel– a scene meant to be terrifying–the audience erupted into laughter. Another not-funny-but-funny moment: when Lilo’s stripper character who may or may not be suffering from a split personality is being questioned by cops, she refers to her mother as “a crackwhore, disgusting, pathetic”…ouch Dina! The line was received by riotous laughter.”
Maybe the casting directors should have read the script a little more closely before giving the part to a girl with rehab issues and an overbearing mother. I’m going to see this movie now just for the shovel scene.
Adrianne Curry is attending the HER Luau at the Playboy Mansion. She opts for the barely there clothing, which may be ok for a luau, but take into account fellow guests like Denise Richards and Kim Kardashian were fully clothed. If Kim Kardashian is fully clothed, that may be a hint you’re a little under dressed.
Michael Moore announced that the Bush Administration has subpoenaed him in the wake of his recent trip to Cuba on the July 26 episode of NBC’s “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.”
It boils down to this. Moore took 9/11 rescue workers with him to Guantanamo Bay, while filming his newest move ‘Sicko’. His reasoning? Terrorists being held captive there are receiving free dental, medical and eye care. Something our own rescue workers DON’T get!
“I haven’t even told my own family yet.” Moore began, “I was just informed when I was back there with Jay that the Bush administration has now issued a subpoena for me.”
The trip was part of his new film “Sicko” which tackles the question of affordable health care in the United States. Moore, who brought 9/11 rescue workers with him on his excursion, explains the reason for his trip, saying: “Took them to Guantanamo Bay because I heard the Al Qaeda Terrorists we have in the camps there, detained, are receiving free dental, medical, eye care, the whole deal, and our own 9/11 rescue workers can’t get that in New York City.”
In a continued effort to help the 9/11 rescue workers, Moore stated that on August 11, the Weinstein Company will be donating 11 percent of the box office receipts from “Sicko” to “help these workers and the other workers who need help,” said Moore.
Also Moore told Leno on the show how his studio asked him to cut a certain segment out of his film. “I just tell the truth in our film. (Hillary Clinton) did something very courageous 14-years ago, saying all American’s should be covered. She got beat up badly for it. Now she’s the second-largest recipient of health care industry money in the U.S. Senate.”
Moore continued: “In fact, I don’t know if I should really talk about this on national television, but you know the head of the studio that’s releasing this film…Harvey Weinstein is a big supporter of Hillary Clinton. For the months leading up to the release of the film, he kept calling me every day saying, ‘I want you to take that scene out of the film, attacking Hillary.’ I said, ‘I’m no attacking her, I’m just telling the truth.’”
Pepsico has been forced to change the labels on all Aquafina water bottles in order to alert consumers that it’s nothing more than tap water!
The label on Aquafina water bottles will soon be changed to spell out that the drink comes from the same source as tap water, the brand’s owner PepsiCo said Friday.
A group called Corporate Accountability International has been pressuring bottled water sellers to curb what it calls misleading marketing practices.
Aquafina is the single biggest bottled water brand, and its bottles are now labeled “P.W.S.” The new labels will spell out “public water source.”
“If this helps clarify the fact that the water originates from public sources, then it’s a reasonable thing to do,” PepsiCo (nyse: PEP – news – people ) spokeswoman Michelle Naughton said Friday.
The corporate accountability group is also pressing for similar concessions from The Coca-Cola Co. (nyse: KO – news – people ), which owns the Dasani water brand, and Nestle (other-otc: NSRGY.PK – news – people ) Waters North America, seller of Nestle Pure Life purified drinking water, which gets some of its water from municipal sources.
Dasani’s Web site says that Dasani comes from local water supplies and is then filtered.
“We don’t believe that consumers are confused about the source of Dasani water,” Coca-Cola spokeswoman Diana Garza Ciarlante said. “The label clearly states that it is purified water.”
Ya know… this really pisses me off. I have a case of this stuff in my refrigerator! I wonder what’s in Jennifer Aniston’s ‘Smart Water‘?
Here you think you are buying something special, healthy for you… just to later find out, it’s the same water sitting in your toilet bowl.

Nicole Richie has been sentenced to 4 days in jail.
TMZ was in L.A. County Superior Courtroom moments ago, where a pregnant Nicole Richie faced the music for her wrong-way DUI bust in December — her second DUI conviction in 4 years.
A court commissioner sentenced Richie to serve four days in the City or County Jail (her choice!) — she got credit for a fifth day, for the six hours she served after being busted.
Richie was also fined $2,048, was ordered back to school for 21 days to an alcohol education course and on three years probation.
Richie must report to serve her time by September 28.
The commissioner issued Richie a stern warning, telling her if she she drove drunk again and she actually killed someone she could be charged with murder — not manslaughter. That’s because after her first DUI, Richie agreed that if she drove under the influence and killed someone, she’d be nailed for murder.
An Arizona man, David Hans Schmidt, known for giving the public compromising celebrity photos has been arrested after an alleged shakedown plot against Tom Cruise.
The actor’s lawyer, Bertram Fields, alleges the 47-year-old Hans Schmidt demanded more than one million dollars to not publish stolen photographs from the actor’s 2006 wedding to Katie Holmes in Italy.
An F-B-I spokeswoman confirms Schmidt was arrested by federal agents Tuesday, but says the criminal complaint charging him is under seal by a federal court.
The U-S Attorney’s office in Los Angeles reports a judge set bond at 100-thousand dollars. An inmate data base says Schmit is being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Los Angeles.
Schmidt is trying to auction off Paris Hilton’s diaries, along with photos of her in various stages of undress and other personal effects that had been locked in a Los Angeles-area storage locker until a few months ago.

Britney Spears was in Las Vegas yesterday, vacationing at the Wynn with Sean Preston and Jaden James, when they had a little trouble with the photographers.
Us Weekly reports that Britney’s bodyguard, Julio “JC” Camera, roughed up a photographer outside the spa at the Wynn after the photog got a little to close to, and then made contact with, one of Britney’s boys.
The photographer’s friend says they were shooting Britney on vacation when JC came over and shoved his partner in the chest, who then accidentally hit Sean Preston. Then Britney started yelling as JC tackled the photographer to the ground and began punching.
Wynn security broke up the fight, asking everyone involved to leave. Vegas police came to take statements. JC was issued a citation for misdemeanor battery, and Britney filed an allegation of battery on behalf of Sean against photographer Kyle Henderson. The police statement says, “In that report it was alleged that prior to the above incident a second photographer, identified as Kyle Henderson, battered both Mr. Camera and Ms. Spears’ child , who was at that time being held by the security officer.”
And now Kevin Federline is upset because Britney is not supposed to leave California with the children without written permission. When the events above went down at the Wynn, Britney had never obtained that permission or told anyone that she was leaving.
And the news for Britney keeps getting worse. She has fired her new assistant, Shannon Funk, after only three weeks.

“Britney felt a lot of her recent troubles started and stopped with Shannon. Britney thought she was talking badly about her. She was very rude and Britney felt she was letting business emails fall by the wayside.”
Shannon was the replacement for Britney’s cousin, Allie Simms.

In case you were thinking about breaking into the world of tv journalism, but you were scared it would be too hard, fear no more – apparently anyone can get a job as a local anchor. Holly Hunter appeared on “What’s the Buzz”, a segment on a local ABC station, to promote her new show, “Saving Grace”, and she’s the only one who knew what was going on. The anchor certainly didn’t. Were there no cue cards she could read? Did she not practice a little? Maybe it was her first day.
“Saving Grace” debuted Monday night with big numbers – an average of 6.4 million viewers at 10:00 P.M., which made it the most watched cable series premiere of the year thus far.
This video is worth watching to the end, where you can hear someone on the set scream – I can’t tell whether it’s in disbelief, anger, or mockery.
Apparently they do things a little differently up north. While at MTV Canada yesterday, Claire Danes accidentally flashed her boob when she leaned over a little too far.
I love Claire Danes, but don’t you test those things out before wearing clothes in public. I mean, you try on a loose fitting shirt, you bend over and see what happens. Or at least wear a bra, maybe a cami underneath. But fans everywhere are glad she didn’t.
Lindsay Lohan has got some supporters in her corner, and they appear to have inside information. Lindsay’s uncle says that her former assistant Tarin Graham’s mom almost got into a fist fight with Lindsay, and that Lindsay wasn’t even driving the car that was chasing them.
“She [Lindsay] may well have not been driving the car. This girl and her mother are letting Lindsay take the fall, but hopefully the truth will come out! That would get rid of most of the charges.”
Not only that, another family insider Gina Glickman says the former assistant’s mom didn’t even know who was chasing her and that it could’ve been the paparazzi she called the cops on.
And, the cocaine in Lindsay’s pocket wasn’t hers because she was wearing somebody else’s pants.

I know I shouldn’t spread rumors from the National Enquirer, but this one’s killer. The Enquirer reports that Britney Spears’ 16-year-old sister, Jamie Lynn Spears, is pregnant. Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt should hold off on adopting any more kids, because Sean Preston, Jaden James, and Baby Spears might need new parents.
It just gets better. 13-year-old Ali Lohan has written an email to 24sizzler.com in defense of her sister Lindsay Lohan and her mom Dina Lohan. She also speaks out against her dad, Michael Lohan.
