Despite rumors that the marriage of Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe is on the rocks, the couple claim they keep love alive with a weekly date night, report’s Star Magazine’s Jennifer Pearson.

Don’t believe those crazy breakup rumors! Those in the know say that despite reports that Best Actress Oscar-winner Reese Witherspoon and hubby Ryan Phillippe are headed for a crash, the two co-star in one of Hollywood’s healthiest marquee marriages. And they keep the romantic fires burning the old-fashioned way — by dating! “Once a week, they go out on a date — just the two of them,” a friend of the couple tells Star. “They feel it’s important to get away, even if it’s just for a couple of hours one evening a week. Reese says it keeps them grounded.

And with their careers in high orbit thanks to her award-winning turn in Walk the Line and Ryan’s role in the Best Picture-winner Crash, it’s all the more important that their marriage remains strong. “They are both from family-oriented homes, and they want to make sure they stay together and not become another Hollywood divorce casualty,” their friend tells Star. Of course, Reese, 29, and Ryan, 31, relish family time at home with their two children, daughter Ava, 6, and son Deacon, 2. When they take the kids out, it’s usually to Burger King. But for a romantic dinner alone, their favorite “date places” are Toscana and Pizzicotto, two Italian restaurants near their home in Brentwood, Calif. “Date nights give them a chance to talk to each other and reconnect.”
